Just as there was “irrational exuberance” on the left before the election, I am seeing “irrational exuberance” on the right now. Obama will disappoint both sides because he has been and always will be, a centrist (at least in a U.S. context).

All of this is said in a joking manner.
Of course Obama is a liberal. Of course my guys are going to dislike what he does. Same way Harper is a libertarian at heart, so social democrats will not like him. But it’s fun watching him make motions in our direction and triangulate, and watching his erstwhile allies squirm.
What a great way to set up the nationalization of the health care system!
